This project included the removal of an extensive amount of notifiable asbestos within the basement and interior walls of this former factory. An internal wraparound of scaffold was installed so the method of ‘Quilling’ could be performed within enclosures to remove the asbestos from brick work and tiles being retained.
Once this phase was complete, Tidal carried out the complete strip out and underpinning of the building (by approved subcontractors) and began removing the floors and basement structure ready for re-construction.
This ongoing project will see the relocation of an existing attenuation tank, new basement, groundworks, drainage, structural waterproofing and installation of a mezzanine floor, required to turn this former factory into a commercial space.
